Rik Versteeg is a queer visual artist who explores themes such as human rights, climate change, and our interconnectedness with nature through a queer lens. His work spans photography, film, makeup, and costume design, allowing him to break traditional boundaries and create immersive experiences. Known for his use of vivid contrasting colors and intricate concepts, his art challenges societal norms, deconstructs patriarchy, and promotes authenticity, equality, and community. Rik's first solo exhibition, The Masquerade Ball (2019), was followed by Sensitive Obscurities (2020). His photo book Mind Mirage was published in 2024. Since 2025, Rik’s work is represented by SeeBuyArt and The Queer Archive Gallery.
